Treatment Programs for Senior Adults

Senior adults face a unique set of challenges, particularly around transitioning from one stage of life to the next. To help address those concerns, senior care at The Pavilion Behavioral Health System provides a continuum of care within an environment that promotes hope and healing. In alignment with our adult programs, we provide acute inpatient and addiction treatment services for senior adults who may be facing mental health challenges, substance abuse problems or a dual diagnosis. We perform a thorough, no-cost assessment to determine the appropriate level of care for each patient.

Inpatient Care

Inpatient hospitalization may help senior adults in need of comprehensive acute care. Our goal is to provide short-term crisis stabilization within 10 –14 days, during which we’ll develop a plan for outpatient support. Our inpatient treatment provides psychiatric stabilization and evaluation, dual diagnosis treatment and substance abuse treatment in a secure, nurturing environment.

Addiction Treatment

Addiction treatment for senior adults includes inpatient medical detoxification, dual diagnosis treatment and residential or partial hospitalization treatment. Based on the 12-step model, we help patients build the skills and resources necessary for sustained recovery.
