Inpatient Treatment for Senior Adults

As adults age, social issues can significantly impact their physical and mental health. Some of the major contributing factors to social and psychological issues for seniors may include life events like losing a spouse or loved one, being less able to manage regular activities independently, or difficulty coping with and accepting the physical changes of aging. Depression, anxiety or mood disorders may stem from these issues, which can lead to the need for acute inpatient treatment.

Inpatient hospitalization for seniors at The Pavilion Behavioral Health System provides short-term stabilization for patients who need acute care in a secure, nurturing environment. This progressive and comprehensive program includes psychiatric stabilization and evaluation, dual diagnosis treatment and substance abuse detoxification and treatment.
